- Oteil and Billy joined Jay and Mickey on drums during Drums, and Oteil played bass with Mickey
- Billy also played during Not Fade Away, and I think that was without Jay
- No encore
- Recorded from OTS, rear of section Field-X, right around shortstop
- Both nights at Wrigley, the place was filled with chatterboxes. I love every one of you, but my goodness! I can think of 100 other places better-suited to chatting with your friends, and most of them do not cost hundreds of dollars to get in. There were times during the first set each night where I could not hear the band over the sound of people talking. I just can't understand that.
- 3x AKG398 shotguns (L,C,R); 1x AKG394 Figure-8 (L,R); 2x AKG391 cardioids ortf (L,R); 2x AKG392 omnis 2-foot spread (L,R) > Zoom F8 @ 44.1/16

- Thank you BigChuck for the correction!
- The band spent the night, through their music and visuals, expressing their support for women's rights. The supreme court had undone 50 years of progress in one day (today)
- Billy was absent most of the night, and understudy Jay Lane filled in- Oteil and Billy joined Jay and Mickey on drums during Drums, and Oteil played bass with Mickey
- Billy also played during Not Fade Away, and I think that was without Jay
- No encore
- Recorded from OTS, rear of section Field-X, right around shortstop

I love the tribute & homage they give to the Jazz Artists who inspireded them when it came to creating a JAM.. Miles,Trane, Pharoh Sanders and Branford to name a few who crossed paths, paveing the way for extended sonar improvisation, Through out this performance the muscians reeked of a pot pouree of all mordern indiginous music of the United States. Lots of covers, teases, hints of other artists interpertations and a plethora of a totally American genre' and style of music.
And thank you to the Artist tht captured this music foe all time memorial..... BTW, the name of the Miles tune was "All Blues" which was featured on the album titled "Kind of Blue".

A good capture of the tenor and tone of the show. On my own YouTube samples from the show (posted PLAYLIST: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIkWETSq1HAmGobRpnXK9qilNQsQY1WUQ ) there was a similar complaint about the crowd gabbers, chompers, casual fans. As long as everyone was enjoying themselves, accept their version of entertainment. World Class RocknRoll was never meant to be heard like a classical symphony concert with everyone just sitting and listenting. Sure there's dancin' and swayin', movin' to the groovin', chatter and singin' along, all going on at once. Your bullet points, a summary of the show, is pretty accurate. The interplay between John and Jeff, particularly at about 4 minutes into Truckin' and at about 14 minutes into Estimated Prophet. That was some fabulous improv and playful instrumentation. There were some tremendous moments where Oteil was showing that he was into the vibe...carrying the beat. Jay was on his game, thrown into the mix, yet he carried it off with aplomb. Bobby holds the band together, with a glimpse at the band members, and in the twangs of his rhythm guitars, whether the Fender or the D'Angelico. Mickey was keepin' the beat, having fun, and perked up as Billy came on for Drums and Not Fade Away. The band was rockin' in Chicago, again.
BTW - I helped out your buddy Nak700 while in line to get the field wristbands. He must still be curating the content more than you had, prior to upload. I haven't listened to this on a great system (yet), but it sure captures the vibe. Still - There is nothing like being there.

The folks who don't pay attention and chat must wonder why they didn't really like the band afterwards. You only get back what you bring to the table.
I was so impressed with the song choices to support women. "Women are Smarter" was just perfect and hit the spot in my heart.
Maybe, if we all learn to listen better we can finally treat women with respect. And just maybe, us men can realize that it really does effect us when we don't respect and listen to women.
I don't hear the chatting too much in the recording.
Thanks Toaste!
