Subject: best show ever
It really doesnt get any better, and unfortunately I cant forsee it ever getting anywhere near this level again. There isnt a single thing that could be said about this show in a negative light. The ending of Shimmy is probably the tightest I've ever heard and accomplishes the whirling dervish feel that it sets out too perfectly..Perfect group improv, people filling in each other's spaces, Sammy out on a four limbs beating the fuck out of everything.
Basis intro jam is evil as hell, Sammy sounds like he is doing a drum-solo he is so unhinged from conventional drumming, and yet it manages to be one of the most propulsive things they have ever done. An irresistibly thick techno jam into the Thieving Magpie is plain disgusting.
Very Moon->HAB is really nice, one of the better Very Moon's I've heard and it gets eclipsed by what follows..
*WAVES->BASIS* Ok, so this is the best Basis ending ever played, and that is saying so much. They have never taken things this high before or since, a huge wall of pulsating sound, everyone playing off each other perfectly. HUGE.
The first jam in MEMPHIS is almost as great but in a slightly more restrained way, Barber does about 50 variations on an amazing riff and each one works perfectly where he plays them. The jam into Waves takes awhile to get going but there is an amazing key change in there somewhere..huge Waves ending.
Solid standalone I-Man.
WOW.

Subject: best-ever material
Something really special about this show. So many songs played here that I adore, and so many best-ever versions of those very songs are right here, or atleast top 5 ever, including: The Very Moon, Basis, Waves and MEMPHIS.

Subject: Agreed
This show is up there with the best of 99, and the remastered recording sounds very good.
Maybe the best Very Moon ever.

Although the waves from the 5/29 martyrs show is still my favorite to date, this one comes close. The voice effect used in this waves is awesome, they should've kept using it. Besides that, the show overall is great.

Subject: More Biscuits Mayhem
From the time the first true notes of Run Like Hell hit this show is madness. It will make you sweat sitting down. Every song is played with mastery and near perfect. If you don't have this one you should

It doesn't get much better...All of the big songs, and all of them played really really well.
