Nothing out of the ordinary but a very good sounding show from the soundboard. The second set really see's the band off into a free for all on the hour long "Run Like Hell" > "Accetobee" but be warned things get pretty wanky. Still a fun listen for the Bisco fan.

There was some scrambling to get the cables plugged into the board at the last minute - which accounts for the fade in at the beginning of the Ovature. Back in those days the would only give you a board patch if noone showed up with MICs. I didn't bring mine, as this was on a day that I had to work the next day and was rushing to get home from work and make the drive from St. Louis to make it to the show.
It turns out we got there early, so we got to listen to them soundcheck and talk to the crew. My wife talked to Brownie a little and she requested they play a certain song, which they of course didn't... heh. There were maybe 40 people there - tops. Really laid back affair. You could stand 2 feet from them while they played if you had wanted.
Anyway, like I said, Lesser didn't want to hand out a board patch until he was sure no mic stands were going up. Then the band came out and he had to fiddle with stuff before finally patching me in. I tried to fade it in (nice feature of the da-p1) when the patch was live. We only missed a minute or so of ovature. No real banter or anything. If I remember, I had one d-8 patched out of me.
The show was a blast. It was someone's birthday (I was to say the old lighting guy's - before JGoode), so they did shots on stage to start the second set. Fun Fun Fun down to the bottom and killer RLH. First time I heard them live (had tapes at this point) and first House Dog. *Loved it* They dedicated it to Scotty if I remember.
I got HOOKED at this show - hardcore. I ended up planning a quick string of shows when they went down south - another KILLER bunch of shows. I brought my mic's, but my setup was the same pretty much as Tim Danielson's, and I know his sources spread, so mine are still on DAT at this point. We mostly setup near each other, only he always ran XY and I didn't, so maybe they sound different? I love my Athen's tapes, I should seed those at some point.
Anyway, enjoy the music. I xferred this to cassette the day after the show and it lived in my deck in the car for a good 3 weeks after that.
Oh, and does anyone know if the Pure Lounge is still around? I remember really digging this HUGE fish tank in back. I also remember them turning on the lights in an effort to get everyone to leave during the encore. I don't think they got that the biscuits jams were LONG :)
