Subject: Why didnt anyone mention the Kamaole?
This was clearly the best Kamaole they've ever not played!!

Both sets have their moments, but the 1st set is really monotonous and the 2nd set is underrated by virtue of everyone hating it so much. I like the Basis ending a lot.

agree with both reviewers- the fluffers and the non fluffers.... im in the middle....

no one mentioned the sands- give it some love

good jam... i'd give the show like a 3.9 out of 5

Subject: 2nd Show
Brought a bunch of friends along for their first show. Missed the first set. Second set... Lai>Flood>Lai was unmemorable. Too quiet, unexciting. Fiddler; finally something I knew. Fun time. Then a jam; the drop into Basis was a highlight. Couldn't believe they were offering this up (I was well familiar with Shimmy>Basis by this time *4/17/99). Basis was lengthy, an I didn't even notice when the bass solo got passed over. The second jam went on and one, and the entire room eventually seemed to levitate off the ground with the peak. Didn't translate to CD for me. Great Home Again, and Story of the World stuck with me for a long time to come. I was getting hooked in.

First set is very exciting on disc, once you get past all the chatting of the crowd.

I heard Brownstein was out of the band, so it was a surprise to see him chatting with fans before the second set.
