we don't go back and add "KOTW jam" to 5/6/99 or Story jam to 9/11/99 B&C before those songs debuted either.
that said.. there are several points in Gangster that seem clearly composed. i'd probably lean towards labeling it Gangster on 12/29 tapes at any point after the TFR came out and labeled it.
it's not like the Strobelights Dribble on 9/1/01, a similar situation with a 'composed jam' where they had a handful of changes and then cued them up whenever they were.. that I-Man intro is exactly the same as the song Gangster they started playing at Sayerville 5 years later, and IMO it was written to be played one time only.
Some really interesting shit in this show from top to bottom. The only jammed out IRW. The first real calypso-y Humu jam. the nice classical stuff going on in Lai or Munchkin or whatever. The last time they ever played the awesome middle section of Helicopters that only lasted through 02.
Surprised they didn't get a random Sound 1 ending. This show was SO fun to be at. Crushed everything else on the run without question.

Being a last minute addition to the NYE '02 run, this show did not disappoint. I'm surprised it does not have more reviews. It is a fuckin' smoker from Hope to the ending of Shimmy. I mean there's a reason that the band decided to release the Humu -> 'bots and the entire second set from this show.

Even if the rest of the setlist doesn't appeal to you(in which case you should be admitted to a psychiatric institution), at the very least get the Techno Iman sequence. A fistpumper from beginning to end.
