Subject: good show
wow there's a lot of bullshit on these reviews but what I thought was weird is people don't really seem into that overture. It's one of my favorite overtures for sure. Rarely do they play it with that much energy, which is why it's a tad sloppy but magner is really going balls-to-the wall on this one and I always love that.

Subject: not the best night
streaming in lo fi so cant complain about sound quality but verymoon seems kinda weak as i listen further and i get into cateppilsr i can feel the energy but think it actually might be sound quality that make it sound ho hum i skippd through the next songs they didn't really catch my interest (i'm kinda wasted) the energy is there but the soubd isn't, bisco will prove it's better to "fade away" (whatever that means) then to "burn out" or to quit (like a very ph band that will reamain nameless) bisco proved to me when i saw them recently that they have something incredible that is still very hot, but this download isn't the best especailly for a newbie i have to drop the stars on this LMA show to keep people from thinking this is the best tDB sorry it's not the player its the game

Subject: this is getting ridiculous
This is the scoop folks. Yes it isn't the best sounding show I've taped, but it isn't the worse. Lets be realistic, this show wasn't bad and it wasn't no Akira either. A matter of fact it was a fun to see the band, familiar faces and the hopefullness of them developing into something different. Personally, it felt like the band tried to cover a little bit of everything at this show in such a short time span. Did the band blow their load? No! But they did attempt to cover many different styles of play that night in order to gain some newer fans. If people don't see this and its potential than what can I say. I would say move on and check the band out after a real tour takes place. Its really pathetic to be slamming the newer fans for possibly liking something. Just because certain fans here are jaded with the days of Sammy. The jams were different from the traditional sounding shows, but it still shows the newbies that they better jump aboard before it gets nasty again. I hope this is the end of all future reviews here.

peace,

Nick C.

I had a great time and its only the beginning! This band has so much promise for the future of music. If you don't like it than go find another band. More room for me to dance.

Your review should comment on quality of recordings. Nobody cares that the recording sounds good, despite the venue. The fact is the sound sucks. Everyone knows the venue sucks acoustically, but giving 5 stars to this does a disservice to the community.

the contrast from schmoe. to the disco biscuits is ridiculous. i would have rather seen them play one set solo so the sound setup would be more suited to them. quality of that show was pretty weak.
based on nye, i was expecting a little more out of allen, but they did throw a bunch of new live tunes for him to play.
it should be noted that the aragon sucks ass in terms of sound quality. i saw pantera/white zombie back in '97 and the

Keep to what this site is about! Recording quality and facts about the songs. I was not at the show and was heart broken to know I was missing it. I downloaded it just to keep up with my friends progress with Alan. I think Overture needs work. It is a very tricky and cool song if nailed. Not quite there yet. ROBOTS WAS UNBELEIVABLE with liquid Handcuffs in the middle! It is tough to say how the recording came out vs. the venue sound because I wasn't there. I have heard better recordings so 4 stars from me.

As far as the Disco Biscuits opening. Good for them!!! Midwest tours have never been strong. I honestly beleive I might have missed my only 2006 chance. Especially after all you yahoos run your mouth on their behalf. Relish the times you can see the Disco Biscuits and respect the acts they play with just the same as they would.

Thank you Taper!!! The recording sounds sweet considering the venue. Save The Robots was also real cool. Any other versions of STR I should know of?

keep on reviewing moe. (offdafront) The biscuits played a good set with the new drummer and that is final. Maybe the sound isn't the best, but it sure sounds a 100 times better than it did inside that venue.

alright i was at this show, and i was thinking is why is bisco opening. it should have been the other way around with out a question. Bisco is back and ready to take over the world!

Reviewer: cookedw - [1.0 out of 5 stars] - February 9, 2006
Subject: Very obviously an opening act
This show has so little jamming, you'd think they had abandoned it altogether. It is about as straightforward a rock show as this band has ever played. Some may like have extremely brief, jamless versions of songs with the new drummer...not me.

Soundwise, this recording is really good, especially considering how bad that venue is.

Unless you were there and want to relive some moment, I don't recommend downloading this show.

This is the first biscuits show I have seen with allen and I thought they played well together. Very Moon and Robots I feel they play at every show I see. I did however suggest a Caterpillar and a Caterpillar was served up hot and fresh. It was the highlight of the my night and I Could easily be wrong here but was the conspirator cover not played between Caterpillar. Everything considered (being the supporting band and having a New drummer) these "new" biscuits I believe have a good deal of potentail and I am looking forward to seeing there progression.
Stayed for my first ever set of Moe. You must be kidding me. Jam Band I dont think so

Subject: Im fed up
Ever since i went to this show, bisco fans have been doing nothing but give me a hard time for going to see moe, (and im sure theres gonna be a bunch of you who r gonna say that i have no taste in music) who are my personal favorite band. now thats not to say that bisco didn't rock. I was actually very impressed with them, but to all the fans that are being dicks, neither band would want this from their fans. This isnt a rivalry. If u want the disco buiscits to headline so bad, write them and tell them to have their own tour. This is moe's tour, and for that, i dont think its right that this set was recorded and not moe's, and i do think that these ranting bisco fans should get off their high horses.

Moe. is the worst. I dont't care, I'll say it to the day I die.. "you say potato and I say three"--are you freakin' kidding me? The man is right. Go listen to Phix and smoke some resin and until you all get the right idea golisten to some real music. The sound is 4-star....

The sound is delicious...Moe sounds like me in the shower. whoever posted that moe is a class act compared to bisco smokes resin out of a can at phix. Stop talking and next time skip the show.

Everyone knows that moe is gay and bisco dominates the world. But does anyone know when the next night (2/4/00) @ the fillmore in denver will be up on this beautiful archive that we all love so very much???

moe.fia_thug . . . there's no reason to be a dick! They're both good bands.

Subject: this is not a moe. vs Bisco Thread!
This show was okay; if anything it just left me hungry for more. Still it is worth hearing as they are starting to develop their sound with the new drummer (albeit Allen still has a bit to go.)

The sound on this recording is much better than I remembered in there. Good job Nick!

Any reviews concerning moe. vs Biscuits are entirely inappopriate and do not belong here. Besides, I fully believe and have loudly expressed the exact opposite thoughts on other boards (i.e. moe. is outright terrible.) Regardless, my point is it's just an opinion of the band and has nothing to do with the actual recording or show.

Subject: The Battle of Moe vs Bisco.
Download this load of crap then download the moe. show from the same night, you will see. Bisco is nowhere near the level of moe. Bisco doesn't deserve to open for such a class act. Bisco belongs in some little dive bar in Arizona, or a garage where they can practice basic chords. Then maybe their music won't sound like a cat with his tail caught in a meat grinder. I would also like to point out that yes this sounds bad... but its not the Aragons fault, Topper from moe. put a stack of speakers back by the tapers just to compensate for the bad taping scene in the aragon.

Pretty trippy set, Aron came out later with moe. Sketchy scene with the Nitrous tank outside and the fights inside. Liquid Handcuffs...

Subject: Nice 1 set show
This was a nice one set show for the biscuits who came on this night in support of moe. (not b/c moe. is bigger) Highlights are Overture, Catarpillar, and 1st liquid handcuffs not preceeded by comercial amen. 4 stars for not so great sound quality.

Subject: Very Nice
This was my first Biscuits show, and I'll admit, I was only there to see moe. However, I was blown away by the show they put on and I they exceeded expectations completely. I have no other show to compare it to so I gave them 4 stars simply because they made my brain explode. Moe certainly gets the top billing, though...they're headlining Summercamp, and they're a second tier headliner with Beck and Phil Lesh at Bonnaroo after Radiohead, Tom Petty and a third band, to be announced later (my guess is Panic). Anyway, great set and I plan on seeing the Disco Biscuits now anytime they come my way

Subject: Opener huh?
Allen is really making the transition for the band easy. They really seem to thrive off of him. I wish every show I went to had an opener like this! The Overture was decent, some rough spots in the beginning but the jam was very strong. Allen loves that drum and bass!! The Very Moon was as beautiful as ever with Barber rockin out hard. The Catepillar (which has gotten better and better) did not disappoint, in fact one of the better versions. It was no CBIV or NYE but it was pretty nasty, nice and slow build to climax. The real treasure of this show is the Robots>Liquid Handcuffs>Robots! WOW I mean come on, how nasty can they get! Story was tasty. Overall I would say this would have been a nasty show if they could have played another set perhaps at set break??? DIdnt think of that did you Moe.!!!

Reviewer: tragnast - [3.0 out of 5 stars] - February 6, 2006
Subject: not too bad for a single set show
There are not really any great jams, but the drummer plays to some new songs which is cool. It's in a big boomy reverb drenched room so the sound is mediocre. I am surprised that moe didn't open for disco. Maybe my estimates are off, but I didn't think moe is that much bigger. Or maybe I just am in the dark.
