Subject: Great show
I'm always a sucker for the Tunnel and this one is good. Just to set the record straight the newer sound of the Disco biscuits is faster paced and more electronic but, as of the past 2 years, less improvisational. There are still a lot of segues but not as many free form jams as there once were. The previous reviewer has no idea what he is talking about. Listen to stuff from 98-99 and tell me that it isn't jammier instead of trancier. Also Strobelights is far from new, it was first played at the wetlands preserve on 2001-09-01. I just wish these guys would do a real tour again, geeze!

Check out Set 2 of this show, it's killer! Robots>Triumph>Robots is really sick. Set 1 is cool too (Dribble, Spectacle), but Set 2 blows it away in my opinion. The Overture here is just crazy, and it flows right into Robots in an "ohhhh shit" way. "Goodbye Stranger" was unexpected but enjoyable. And you can't go wrong with a Highwire encore. Good recording too.

brentonl, you're a dick. you've been listening to the biscuits for a year on the archive ... and you give a really uninformed review. they may not have played "Above the Waves, Shem Rah Boo, Basis, Solstice, Cyclone, Catapillar, Wizards in Winter, Morh Dusseldorf," but they are evolving, and their new material, like strobelights and martinis, is badass. on top of that, they played gems like save the robots, mindless dribble, shelby rose, etc. what you need to be reviewing is how the show and the recording were, not what you think the ultimate setlist would be. the recording was pretty good, and the show was actually spectacular, despite your naive review.

Subject: I wanted trance
Subject: I wanted trance
I've been listening to the biscuits for about a year on archive. I love it; i can't get enough.
This was my first biscuits show and I was disappointed. I wanted to hear sick trance and crazy synths and awesome basslines and precision drumming. I did not find that here.
What they played was more rock sounding. I wanted Above the Waves, Shem Rah Boo, Basis, Solstice, Cyclone, Catapillar, Wizards in Winter, Morh Dusseldorf. I got none of those. Guess I need to go to more shows.

Love the setlist. Enjoyed the transitions. Good to great sound quality.
But I stongly caution against employing the synchronized "Whoo!" during Rockafella.
That's J.V. stuff. You're better than that, Biscuit fans.

this show was the heat...living in the hartford area can be a drag sometimes but seeing the biscuits tear up the webster (which is a small venue) was pure bliss, the crowd was amazing and the biscuits just feed off the vibe...ive been to the webster a bunch of times and never has a band played till 2 in the morning...soo much respect goes out to the biscuits..they will melt your face!!!!!!

I've seen these guys 7 times and this was easily top 2. The setlist was AWESOME, and I have to say this was easily the best I've ever heard them sing. The whole band was on the ball that night, and my only complaint would be the excessive security and the cops outside the venue. Like always, Bisco brought the heat to a smaller venue. SICK show!
