* The DBTs asked a fan to come and sing 'Buttholeville' with the band, but the fan I guess didn't actually
know the lyrics to that song, so they switched it to 'Life in the Factory.'
** Sung by the aforementioned fan brought onstage by the band.
*** Unfortunately, my mics ran out of battery power during this song, and hence the volume becomes
gradually lower during this song, which I left unedited. Luckily, I switched batteries just in time for the
next song.

Subject: Cooley Rocks
Thanks for the quick post. Fun show, especially considering Patterson was sick and it was mostly Cooley songs. For any DBT fan, this was a nice changeup show to be at. 4 stars just b/c no Patterson, but band was up to the challenge.

Subject: Worst DBT performance ever?
I prefer to give my stars for the recording quality, thanks to the taper for your hard work and for getting this up so quickly! The show however, was awful. Cooley had a chance to lead the band in Patterson's absence, but he was so drunk he was slurring his words and could barely keep his eyes open. He also flubs the lyrics to almost every song. Listen to Space City, he can barely manage the fingerpicking!
They constantly apologize for Patterson being sick and thank the audience for sticking around (suffering through). I can understand saying that at the beginning and the end, but after every song?
Patterson Hood was evidently sick and consequently was not at the show. The venue notified ticket holders that they could get a refund if they wanted, but most attended and the band played in front of a near-capacity crowd. Bloodkin opened.
