Subject: Black Peter
After seeing Phil sing this one the night Kesey died in Louisville '01, I'm not sure I would want anyone else to sing it. Maybe Warren, surely not Bob Weir. I caught an Allmans/Ratdog show August 08 and Weir basically gave it the same reading. He just can't hack it with the Jerry tunes..especially the ballads(IMO). I honestly am beginning to believe it is an inside joke among the core four. Please Bob, give it up, you've been trying to sing 'em since 95 and you haven't improved. Stick to your own songs..and give Jerry/Pigpen tunes to Warren. Thank you. Other than the Black Peter torture, this might have been the one of the tour if not the 14th.

This is another great show and I am so pleased that the tapers are getting these uploaded so fast. But what's taking so long with 5/10 at Shoreline? I was there and it was freaking amazing. My wife had to miss the show (but she went to NYC without me so she caught a great one) and I want to share it with her through the magic that is this archive. I have nothing but admiration for the tapers but I guess I have been spoiled with 24 to 48 hour uploads from late April. I just want to hear them all. It's not the GD but it's still awesome.

Subject: Awesome Show
I was at this show and it was spectacular... though my favorite on this tour has been the 5/2/09 Spectrum Show. The first set was mindblowing with that double decker Viola sandwich. The Spectrum didn't have anywhere to dance, so this show was way more danceable; got totally spun out.

Very nice recording of a blistering show, it all comes back to me now said the man who pissed into the wind ! Just in case you were'nt lucky enough to be there , this is a pretty good substitute . I've got the Dark Star roaring out of my stereo right now and it's bringing the night back into focus . Download and enjoy !

Subject: GRATEFUL FOR THE TAPERS
This is, for my money, the show of the tour! Sounds like Phil was in complete charge from start to finish. Great setlist, with Viola Lee first set, a really nice Black Peter, and on and on. Thanks to the taper for pulling a really nice show.
