Deconstructing Shred is an effort to get all the notes out of my being so I can focus more on "composition" or stuff that doesn't have all this shredding in it. Deconstructing Shred is about a personal journey, a personal mission to tear down the guitar hero within so that I can get on with other musical adventure. Not to say that speedy licks won't find themselves within future HeavyConfetti releases, but they will certainly be toned down, de-emphasized in favor of a less guitar oriented approach to compositions. Now I'm looking at twentieth century classical and ambient types of music, working with swatches of sound, painting with sound to create a new kind of space. Pretentious as hell, but what the hell. I had all this material on the compute with fast guitar licks that I didn't want to toss, so I decided to make a tossed musical salad with them and add some new licks as well to the mix. This is probably an offering best appreciated by other guitarists or aficionados of the speed guitar genre. However, there's enough goofy stuff in the mix to appeal to eclectic ears as well.

Awesome
I agree with all above reviews, the notes seem to pour from your fingertips with a grace and heavy violence like Buckethead. Almost a perfect album, if the guitar seemed to be more up front instead of a small mouse squeak in the background this would be part of a great collection that prove the guitar the best instrument.
Very good album altogether
Keep up the good work in all your other endeavors!

Great album.
In the vein (melting) of buckethead, which is to say virtuoso guitar over sampled breaks and loops. The loops on this album are actually quite good and could stand alone without the rightous guitar licks. The songs are kept fresh by switching up the beats and styles frequently. A few songs and moments are weak but are compensated for my awesome guitar work. I reccomend this album to anyone who likes electric guitar masturbation

these licks shred in most impressive ways
This is most impressive. High quality recording.Very intense, heavy, complicated riffs complimented by unusual percussion tracks, here and there, with a soild drive. This ain't no junior rock, this has influences from way back, Zappa to Eddy Van Halen. My head is spinning to the surround sound of this most heavy jam.
Amazing. I think this artist ( artists?) may be a major recording person.
This is a freebie album by a very talented artist, lick it up!
We are blessed. Thanks! Salud!
