Implosion Quintet is actually a one man show, James Baker, a very talented freelance designer, illustrator and musician, who produces mellow and rare beats accompanied by melodies coming from all sorts of instruments. Sometimes enriched by beautiful and haunting vocals, James creates a theatrical lounge atmosphere for the listener to enjoy, making this the most organic - in terms of sound - digilog release to date. IQ's melodies will stick in your head and turn into an obsession, making you want to listen to this ep over and over again.

At first the blurb next to this release sounded like hyperbole, but this really is a quality release, full of little surprises. Got a bit reminded of bands like Bent or Lemon Jelly sometimes, but this is never derivate. Props!
