Subject: Ditty Bops Knock Me Out
The duo of Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald really knocked me out. They remind me so much of Dan Hicks & His Hot Licks, only much more quirky. Their unique sound embraces the likes of contemporary folk pop, ragtime, and musical theater. Its obvious from this recording that their audience loves them, and that its a two-way love affair. Based upon their on-stage banter and presence, they appreciate their audience too. The musicianship at this concert was of the highest caliber. For that matter, so was the quality of the recording. The only fault I could find was that an hour long set left me hungering for more! Ladies, PLEASE bring your act to the East coast.

Tiny, semi-packed little room - some crowd noise because mics were handheld.
Thanks to Eric for the ticket/ride. Thanks to Amanda, Abby, and Jeff for their assistance in making this recording possible.
