Alexis Perepelycia[dlnet024] - Alexis Perepelycia - Mundo Caos (2005)

A new comer to the Dreamland camp, Alexis hails from Argentina (which seems to be a growing haven for interesting sound sculptors i.e. Pablo Reche). Serving up four tracks of an almost clinical precision. Sounds consist of tiny microscopic beats atop broken sound scapes of static & scratches, static insect chirping, hum, electronically fried rain samples and who knows what else?

Download it... now. Fantastic use of the soundscape. Jaw-droppingly impressive. This is a creator to keep an eye out for.

Very good.

Synth work and overall mood reminds me of Photek's Modus Operandi. So that means it is a smasher!

Cheers

Subject: World Chaos
Aptly titled release with four busy tracks of microsoundish beats, static, processed field recordings, .... "Studestada" leads off with an almost minimal house sound and devolves into an abstract collage of tiny beats, electronics, and acoustic samples. "Quark" is appropriately named
with its tiny chaotic sounds darting in and out and a static-like noise that build in intensity. "Generador de Coincidencias" leans towards the lowercase microsound side with tiny high-pitched percusive sounds and a catchy low volumed background loop. "Body Movements" is the most structured of the tracks with a noticeable house-like atmosphere.
