Notes
David Lowery makes a rare solo appearance for The Record Collector's "Living Room Concert Series". He plays material from his great new solo album, "The Palace Guards", as well some Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker songs.
Thanks to John, Randy, and the entire Record Collector staff for working hard to bring cool artists to Bordentown. As always, support the artist by buying his commercial releases!

Subject: David Lowery talking/singing right in your ears
Subject: Intimate & Intense
One of the best things about this show is the personal connection you felt being there. The stories David tells are funny, witty, and gives you a deeper appreciation for the music and how it was generated. By drawing influences from personal experiences, pop-culture, literature, and everything in between, each song has a meaning you rarely see these days. With a nice selection of Cracker, CVB, and his new solo album, David plays a full spectrum of songs spanning his whole career.
Everyone has their favorite songs but I do not think I could have asked for a better setlist for a small show like this. From the first note in Raise em up on Honey you knew David wasn't holding anything back. The sound on the recording in superb. It's not compressed so you have to crank it up a bit. With a good stereo it sounds just like you're sitting there.
Although there is a wide selection of Cracker and CVB material her on LMA I was surprised to see this show pop up. David was filming this show for a yet untitled documentary with at least 3 cameras set up that I saw. It is wonderful to be able to experience it again and again. Thank you to Bill, David, his staff, the Record Collector Staff, and everyone that made this show and recording possible.
