Show Notes: Solo show; mic and recorder were under my seat for this one - we were seated in the front row about ten feet from the stage.
2002 was a fairly inactive touring year as far as David goes - aside from a few shows here and there and a UK tour early in the year, shows were few and far between. I caught two of the three scheduled for June (the first was in Nashville) and managed to get recordings of both.
The setlists for both shows were incredible, and David mentioned to me at the time that it was a result of an interview where I asked him what he had against "Apart From You" and "Make The Most Of". Between the two shows, at least half the set was different each night. Not only did he play those two but some other tracks that were not often performed.
Tonight's highlights: a call from his mother at the beginning of "Mine And Yours", the aforementioned "Apart From You"; a nice AC/DC tease; and one of the first recorded live performances of "New Mexico". "Beauty" may have made its acoustic debut around this time as well; David had been playing it with his band in the UK two months prior.
Screams are courtesy of me (sorry).
Soundwise, I left the EQ alone; only performed a bit of hard limiting in CoolEdit due to low levels.
