apparently democracy now, an independent daily news collaboration featuring news you won't hear on mainstream commercial news stations, is archiving their audio to archive, org.
The video of a given day's show can be streamed from
http://democracynow.org (no exclamation opoint in the URL)
They have links to previous shows, and have indexed their material by topic, and it's searchable.
You can also purchase high quality versions of their shows on disk, on the same site. Or watch for free. The show airs daily on weekdays, in the morning.
Democracy Now is affiliated with kpfk radio --
http://kpfk.org , a Pacifica Radio Network station. Pacifica is a listener sponsored non-commercial station.
Apparently only non-commercial stations feel any responsibility to tell their listeners the truth, since the listener is the customer, not some soulless multinational corporation. They are different from National Public Radio in that respect, not to knock NPR
I've never seen an episode of DN! that was not worth watching.
I thoroughly recommend this and any other democracy now episodes. In fact, I'm going to go watch today's show at http:
democracynow.org
the direct link to Oct22,2004 video stream is :
