Subject: this is the funniest thing

I was at this show and it was awesome, even got to get my CD signed by tara and jeb. but the funniest thing is that i was right there by the mics when that fight erupted. The drunk chick was dancing like she was taking ecstacy at a rav, the other woman was trying to keep her space and the raver and her boyfriend freaked out. After two minutes I couldn't stand it and found another place to stand. I still cant believe that made it onto the tape.

Subject: nice one...

easy one on the drunk chick...some states consider drenching someone else with a drink in a confrontational manner as assault. as a taper i fully understand trying to tape and play babysitter to folks who came for the party as opposed to coming for the music....IT SUCKS.....wake up...we are here for everybodys future listening pleasure.

Subject: the show

i completely understand the whole, KEEP THE IDIOTS AWAY FROM THE MIC situation.... i am a taper myself. i do a series of aud recordings around buffalo and sometimes, but thank god not all the time, there is always one idiot, or in this case 3, haha!!!!! the tape sounded excellent.... i am just glad they only made one appearence on the tape.... after the fact it was amusing, you pointing it out..... but it really pisses a person when they are trying to do their work and thers an interuption.... i give the taper props for a solid recording!!!!

as i was begged to go to this show at yonder
all i could say was no to many donna shows
that have ended much like the one that you
had to well put up w/ as i find myself know one of the older tapers on the wny front i guess ill add
my two cents im all for having a good time.

i fully understand that taping is a privlage
not my right, but for all of you that ask for post or trades which most tapers are always willing to do all that we ask in return is to have a safe, hassle free area to do so, if you knew how much it cost to put our rigs together, and time spent after the show posting to the net maybe u could understand why we get bend by fools as Seth spells out above

Going to concerts is not a free-pass to be an a$$. Stupid, inconsiderate people should be beat down at every opportunity.

Excellent recording otherwise.

thanks for fixing track #14, that to me was the highlight of the show. not as big a dancing crowd as it was in the square for yonder mountain string band, but very fun vibes nonetheless!

great people, great scene...sorry your tapers had to hear that garbage in front of you....that's a funny story though!

Just wanted to extand a hearty thank you to the taper and a thanks also for the track 14 fix. I was fortunately standing 10 ft. from the stage and not near the girl in the previous review.

Buffalo's been host to some fun shows in the square this summer. Good Times!

as for the rant in track 12 heres a basic run down...

Setting: the square in buffalo. free concert series, Tea Leaf Green opening for Donna the Buffalo
directly in front of the sbd a bunch of tapers (Godwin, Hook, myself & others)-
in front of them a group of my friends & in front of them a three kids ~20yrs old-
The chick was obviously on something, as she gyrated her body in a spastic motion.
Not only was her dancing completely off beat, but it never stopped.
Constant movement through the song breaks, and she had no sense of the crowded atmosphere around her.
The two full water bottles beside her shoes gave her away.
The drugs must have kicked in during the beginning of Donna.

After many bumps which led to drink spills, most of the surrounding fans were beginning to get irritated.

A few words were exchanged; my friend's wife's full drink was popped out of her hands by the "X'ed" out girl.
The drink flew straight into the air and landed completely onto another friend.

Tempers were flaring.

More words were exchanged as she had no regard for the insensitive act that she displayed...alcohol abuse!!!!
Not to mention that our friend was completely drenched.
I thought someone was going to hurt this skinny little girl....

She finally takes off....but her friends were still there...with the drugs beginning to take effect on them.
A few songs later, the one kid began his dancing spasm with again no regard for the people around him.

After the constant bumping, the girl standing directly behind him elbowed him and said, "Do you mind, this is not a mosh pit!"

And then......
the RANT at about the 6:15 mark of track 12

He then ran off like a maniac.
The crowd collectively cheered and there was much rejoicing.
We could finally enjoy the rest of the show.

Some corrected track names:

9 - Rocking Horse
10 - I Wish You Love
12 - If You Only Could

Nice, detailed recording. July's fantastic energy has now peaked, but this is a generally solid show. Enough crowd for ambience, only intrusive in a couple of spots.

Great Blue Skies, by which time the set has dialed in. Conscious Evolution jam is very laid back, almost desultory, but the 14-minute Voice in My Head is superb, the highlight of the show.

Unfortunately, track 14 is corrupt.
