How could anyone possibly be disappointed in this Jerry Band type show. It's is a shame that Rob E was out with the flu, but this show is sweet. I have been to many Dead and DSO shows and surely would have liked to see this one. DOWNLOAD and ENJOY.

The show was decent given that Rob Eaton was out with the FLU. It seemed to take the band by surprise as they were 45minute plus late getting on stage... The night before in Olympia was insane however, the Shakedown was amazing. I would recommend posting the Olympia WA show vs the Showbox if possible

I love DSO. I have only seen a few shows, all in the Northwest and have consistently been impressed with their ability to deliver the goods. There is a reason lots of old Heads say, "all you have to do is close your eyes". This band aspires for great things and every once and a while they put together a show that not only meets expectations but somehow exceeds them.
The March 6th show was not one of those shows. "Bobby" was sick so they played what I heard was a "band's choice" show. It featured lots of covers, JGB and others including the Band, John Lennon and the Airplane. The first set was just plain boring - very slow- and the beginning of the second set produced few noteworthy moments. I really loved all the Robbie Robertson/Band stuff, however. The show immediately got great beginning (on disc three) with the Midnight/Rigby jam. Totally sick.
Definitely an odd show. I think my expectations may have been too high. My buddy had seen a '73 show at the Belly Up the week before. Well there is always the next show...

Notes

Original set of mostly JGB music
No Bobby - Eaton was sick
