Subject: Riverwalk Center In Breck Offers DSO a Stage
The players were on fire - and I mean HOT!! This is one of two DSO shows I have attended at the Riverwalk Center in Breck. The accoustics have been improved substantially since opening in the early 90's, but the venue evidently still has distortion problems. The mixing board helps this, since it is direct to the artists mike or instrument. This archive is good, but not great. Many of the tunes have been edited for time by cutting into the applause at the end of several tunes ( editing should leave about 5 seconds of applause, unless it melts into a medley). Some noise in several of the tunes indicate the distortion problem is still there ( echoy and tinny at times). But this was a great show by the DSO nonetheless.

Note: Loose Lucy was cut at the very beginning and Stella Blue's last note was cut. I used patches from recent 74 recreations to create an uninterrupted flow. It sounds pretty good to me. Still, I believe there is some brief digital noise in Stella which I left intact. You get what you pay for.
