man this is some of the best DSO ive heard on the archive.....they nail the hell out of the early 70s sound and style.....the triple decker other one sandwhich ranks up there with the original performance.......spacey and dripping with goo.....DSO makes me smile

The original was a great show and DSO does a great job revisiting a magical era in GD musical history. Nice recording and setlist, I can't believe it only cost me the price of some blanks. I'll see DSO (2-6 and 2-7)in Charlottesville and I can hardly wait!!!

Show review: This show is a screamer! These guys and gal were just soo very very very on this night. It was a night to behold. First set shags with 16 renditions of pure GD religion, and the second set features a triple decker other one sandwhich packed to the gills with eyes, uncles, truckins, rivers, wharf rats, GDTRFBÂs and more......and a scarlet filler! WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT IN THIS LIFE?!?! This is a must download if you like good ol' grateful dead music! Thanks!

Recording review: Fucking flawless and oozing with LOVE. In fact i think it might be prefect.

Peace

thanks for this, my first DSO show and they blew me away... i was hoping for a '72 or earlier '73 show, but it looks like i missed a pigpen experience by about half a year... though i'm not exactly sure who would do his vocals....

but, great show, thanks so much, my only requests would be if someone could upload just the AUD source to here or etree and if someone could seed the original show at some point?

Subject: Wow!
This was my 2nd DSO show ever, I had never been to a dead show (too young, just missed the cut. I started seeing shows in 96'). My first was in AC over the Summer. It was a perfect show with almost all the songs I already loved, and from my favorite dead time period. I've always been a late 70's dead fan. However, after this show, my mind is so changed. The show was as sick as it gets. A 15 song first set, with a raging version of my new favorite song, Here Comes Sunshine, as well as awesome versions of Brown Eyed Woman, China Cat>Rider, etc. Then a killer Truckin' to kick off set 2, and an absolutely mind-blowing sequence featuring an Other One played 3 different times. Holy cow! I was just hooked. And lo and behold, I go to download the dead show on the same date, and it was pulled along with everything else. Damn! Anyways, this recording sounds absolutely flawless. Great job to all who were a part of it, and thanks to DSO for a killer show. I brought my parents, and they are also hooked. Thanks also to DSO for turning me onto early 70's dead. I have a new love for the dead's music. I can't get enough. I feel grateful I still have a chance to experience it in a live setting, thanks to DSO.

I haven't listened to the recording quality yet, but I was at this show and boy was it a blast. The band was on fire as they usually were, playing lengthy sets with almost every song you would want to hear from the era. It's too bad they've taken away the original dead show from november of 73, but this is still a nice show and worth the Download.
