God lord this SBD sounds f-ing sick! The show is fantastic too, but man, burn this to CD and play it on your favorite stereo PRONTO!

Subject: Good but one complaint
Sounds good but does anyone else notice how the drums are panned hard left and right? It sounds like the drummers are stationed at both extreme sides of the stage, outside of the mains. I'm listening on headphones so it's probably more pronounced but I'm finding it very annoying on an otherwise excellent recording. I think this was mixed by a drummer!

DSO often plays complete Dead set lists, but they also are venturing out to play sets which are compiled by them, and are original organizations of Dead tunes which were never played in the specific order by the Dead.

This Morning Dew is right up there with the Dead, and while I know I am risking sounding Blasphemous, I think that DSO humbly carries the spirit of the song to fruition.

Subject: Outstanding Morning Dew!
Saw DSO live a couple of years ago & thought they were just OK . . . and then I ran across this show. Outstanding!

Apparently DSO has more in common w/ the GD then just playing their songs; like The Grateful Dead, they have their "off" nights, too (i.e., the night I saw them) but on other nights they absolutely blow the roof off the place, like they did this night.

Don't get me wrong--not every song is worthy of 5 stars (sorry, but I don't care how well it's played, Corrina could never be given 5 stars), but the Jack Straw is excellent (hey--they even make Donna sound good!) & the Morning Dew absolutely rips.

Is the Dew as good as Cornell? Well, I don't know that I'd go so far as to say that . . . IMHO a copy can never be as good nor highly valued as the original masterpiece, but I will say this--it's definitely one excellent counterfeit!

So what's the deal with DSO? I thought they re-played concerts song for song, but I know the GD never played these songs in this order.

This Morning Dew is perhaps more rippin than Jerry's greatest performance (5.8.77) !!! It's worth the download just for the Dew! I'd give it higher than just 5 stars if I could! Amazing!
