Subject: Great Show in Need of Better Mix
I was at this show and the band was HOT!!! Unfortunately, I would have to agree with the previous reviewer. The quality of the recording does not do justice to the performance. I'm not an engineer, but I do know distortion when I hear it. The band was not too loud and the room acoustics are good. It's too bad. Better luck next time.

Subject: Needles Pinned!
The performace is good as usual. The trouble is, this was either recorded too hot or cooked in the mastering. Saturated tape is one thing, but digital saturation is very hard to listen too. The result is a really abrasive distorted sound. Too bad, too- This one sounds like it could have been really good. The mic placement and mix sound near ideal. Everything is articulate. There is a nice spacious room presence lacking from most live recordings. Without the distortion, this would have deserved a full set of stars.
