Subject: Easy 5 stars!!!
I was at this show. I was the tall guy right down in front row, right in front of the Count and Mike with the black hat that had "Gov't Mule" on it. It was a pleasure standing where I was...I heard Derek's guitar amp REAL GOOD!!!..hahaha...right off the bat with Chevrolet...I could tell I wasn't going to be having any trouble hearing Derek the whole night. The only thing that I thought could have been better about the show was Mike's vocal..it just seemed low in the mix but maybe It was just were I was standing...What a show though!!...good job on the tape Mark...I'm glad you were there to tape this wonderful night of music. This show and the Roxy Theater 2/23/2006 show I saw in Hollywood were probably the two best DTB shows I've ever seen and he just keeps getting better...and as far as the Clapton thing goes...I don't care what your opinion is of Eric Clapton...but if you get in his band...thats a damn good achivement!!!

Subject: Great show, Sound is tight
I was lucky enough to get on the balcony, thanks to Yonrico's help. There were only about 15 folks up there. I went dead center in an X/Y and I think the sound is great. There were a few screamers below and I was glad to be away from them.

Chevrolet starts a little muddy on the vocals (but Derek is up and out the gate) but the mix gets much better afterwards. Marty had it dialed very nice for the later part of the show.

Check out that "For My Brother">"The World Is A Ghetto">"For My Brother" if you listen to anything. Then follow that with not 1 but 2 Derek and the Dominoes tunes. Yonrico's stagelist had a different order but somehow it worked out great. Fantastic night at the beach with the best band on the road today.

One of my better recordings and a lot of fun! Enjoy!

Notes

Note: I split the set after the "Greensleeves".
First tune, 2nd CD is "Maybe Your Baby"

There is a level adjustment @ 1:12 in "Chevrolet"
