Subject: Disturbance
If someone walked up to you off the street with a camera and asked you "Who was Jesus?" what would you feel inside? How would you react? It is very sad that one question like this one could be 'so' distasteful. I can't deny that it often is. It is the very fact that "Who is Jesus?" is such a distasteful question that I have learned that there is a force that sets itself up against the knowledge of the truth. It is this deduction that has driven me away from my agnosticism.
Think about it for a moment; "Who is Hitler?", "Who is Napolean?", "Who is Ceazar?", "Who is Ghandi?", There is limitless number of questions regarding various historical figures that would not yield the negative response that "Who is Jesus?" would yield. What is the reason for that? Why would a question about one person, about one particular man, yield that kind of a disturbance inside? A kind of a disturbance that would set us to want so much to get away from the question.
God knows that there is nothing that that historic figure, the man that was Jesus had done to deserve such a reaction. Then perhaps is it because there is a spiritual force that has set itself up against the knowlege of the truth? Think about it for a moment and wonder why your spirit is disturbed by the question. Or is that 'your' spirit that is disturbed by the question.
