Reviewer:gratisvibes.com - - August 17, 2006 Subject: From Gratisvibes.com Though classified as âtechnoâ under Gratisvibes, the artist would like to call his style âMinimal Technoâ. Minimal, I believe, as the structure of the tracks in this album is not very complex - the breaks are pretty straight-forward with constant beats and the melody is also not very sophisticated. Ironically, the simplicity and straight-forward structure of the tracks do not make this a bad album, in fact it is the reason why it shines above the general techno music. Though simple, Opus Acide is in no way monotonous or repetitive. If you havenât heard of minimal techno, you should check this album out.
And with the recent addition of embeded flash player, itâs even easier for you to sample a few tracks from an album before downloading it. We will try our best to get samples loaded in our flash player for our future reviews. Thanks for your support.
Back to Opus Acide, as usual, my favourite tracks: Copper T2 Strange as it may sound, I love the Tetris-y X-Files-ish melody line. And the bass line just complements it so well.
Purasuma This track is simply loud. Each of the individual intrumental tracks is screaming for attention most of the time and fighting to be heard. Behind all the chaos, Purasuma is in fact pretty nice to listen to.
