The Ghost Between The StringsEg0_006 - The Ghost Between The Strings : Howling Fossils

"Howling Fossils" is a massive and cavernous drone made of layers of processed guitars, with a hint of rawer guitar noise in the middle. The only sounds used in this track come from 2 guitar improvisations recorded in january 2007 (one of them is available as Howling Fossils (Demixed) on TGBTS 1st mp3 album : Ekstatik Trauma). The final mix (using only audacity and its built-in effects) has been made in summer 2007.

Subject: A dark and minatory dirge
Slowly the music builds to a deliciously dark and sinister hymn. The music then opens a void in my mind and fills it with a howling, hot, dry wind. Swirling around and around in my imagination. It has power. Then slowly it goes away. I could think about my own death. I believe in Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory. The music leads me to believe in Hell. Great piece, Howling Fossils.
