Blue Skies Bring Tears is a talented band from Sweden whose music is flavored in the style of progressive metal with gothic undertones gently sweetened at times, with impassioned lyrics and melodies.
“Influence”, “The Loss That I feel”, “ Tinight” and “Wound” evoke such power, hurt, and passion in how the songs were felt by me. I enjoyed being able to swim in the mysteriousness of where the music had lead me. There is more for my soul to explore in each of these songs, for I feel it calling me each time I listen. “Influence” is one of my favorite songs for its epic appeal---like a gothic novel full of uncertainly, darkness and romance.
Don’t be taken back by the gothic/metal genre of Blue Skies Bring Tears for if you do, you may be missing out on a great musical experience that will likely capture your lyrical heart as it soothes and yes, darkens and dampers your soul to seek out the truth. And isn’t that what music does best---takes you on your own journey, while possibly opening one to the journey of another?
