The silence industry was formed in early 2007. it consists primarily of Graham Jackson, along with others who wish to collaborate with him on music at a given time. Right now, those collaborators consist of Laura Mikulec (some guitar), Hyuma Frankowski (some bass), and Josh Pearlman (some noise and synths).
It is not our intention to necessarily play any particular genre of music, but at the same time we are not scared of showing our influences to some extent either, which range from post-punk, to prog rock, to experimental and noise music, as well as simple pop music. It is our intention to play music for the pure sake of our own self expression and self actualization, not for some naive dream of becoming "rock stars" or anything of the sort. This album is published by Ekleipsi: a netlabel for obscure music. WWW.EKLEIPSI.COM

I've been listening to The Silence Industry for well over a decade and am still impressed by how their sound is remarkably original while yielding some hints of classic influence, particularly The Cure. "Youth and Honey" is pure ecstasy in sound, truly immersive in its energetic yet spacious melodies; "This Chain of Flowers" takes all that sonic lushness into a more subdued space yet remains powerfully emotive. This is definitely a good place to start in the prolific discography of The Silence Industry.

"Excellent releases! Silent Industry kind of sound like the Cure, if they were much more "metal". STill melodic and "poppy", though, but in a good way."
