The album The Chair comes from the band CriadCrias, a talented artist from Argentina. The Chair is a short 12-minute soundtrack of an ambient/visual and classical nature created for the movie Insomnio. It is a brilliant work or art, beautifully composed moving from light and delicate ambient sounds to dark and haunting beats while delicately embedding classical rhythms throughout the soundtrack.
In my favorite track Betrayal, an ambient atmosphere quickly weaves into gut pounding drum beats and explodes into short silences, where is met by a whispering dark, nightmarish voice. The feel changes quickly and is once again soothed by a gratifying ambient silence at the end. The track is a little different then the rest of the album because it almost borders on an experimental industrial sound, where the rest of the album focuses more on classical compositions.
