(Notes pending)Explanation of materials, working techniques, and stitches. Some portions are not applicable to modern stitchers but at least skim over them because useful tips are to be found. Museum reference numbers and a further reading list is included at the end.

This would be "advanced" in modern emb. books. Has interesting mnemonic for remembering direction of stitches on pg 50, by using one's own hand and fingers- anyway, you have to see the image to understand it.
