Subject: Sampler 2002

Most of these tracks were featured in the concert ElectrOdyssey 2001, but not compiled until 2002. (EO1 was conceived and executed at great speed, so some things were left till later)

In this era, more EML members started composing music with primarily their own instruments and workstations (eg Reginald and his Korg Trinity). Unlike the 1990s and before, where only labs and studios could afford the sheer number of instruments needed to put together a piece of music, technology had advanced sufficiently that individual students owned workstation synths (Trinity, Roland XP-50) that had all the sounds and sequencing power they needed. This of course preceded the laptop era.

Individuals like Lord Ming, Reginald and Tim (who is now a professional sound engineer) were very prolific and this is just a sampling of their work.
