This envelope has the delivery address: Mrs. Henry G. Chapman, Boston. On the verso, there is a red seal imprinted with the initials D.R., for Daniel Ricketson
This envelope probably contained the sonnet, "To the Memory of Thomas Clarkson," written by Daniel Ricketson, Dec. 1846; see Call No. Ms.A.9.2 v.22, p.121 for the sonnet. Also see Ms.A.9.2 v.22, p.120, for a letter dated Nov. 6, 1846, by Daniel Ricketson in which he tells Maria Weston Chapman that he is submitting a sonnet for publication in the Liberty Bell
