DOWN WITH MARXIST CENSORSHIP!
Can't review because the Stalinists who own this site have CENSORED it. So much for free access to information. You people need to read Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 and Orwell's 1984. Or are those banned, too?

CENSORSHIP IS UGLIER THAN ANY BOOK
What’s the point of an archive that cherry picks and white-washes history?
“Free speech” is meaningless if it doesn’t tolerate the speech that we hate.

Epaminondas
Despicable censorship. The book is a chronicle of the degradation that black people WERE subject to. Can't be swept away as if never existed.

An Example of Institutionalized Racism: for kids! :)
This book is a horrible example of the once widely-accepted devaluation of a particular people. The title page has disheartened me. I have nothing good to say about this book or its lurid illustrations.

Epaminondas and His Auntie
This book was first read to me by my first grade teacher, Mrs. Wingett at Hohenburg Elementary School. I remember the story to this day and have told it to my child and many others. I love it's intrigue and teachable moments mixed in with the fun of funny little Epaminondas. Thank you Sara Cone Bryant for your sweet little book that has lasted so many years.
