Tim O'ReillyTim O'Reilly - The O'Reilly Radar [ETCON2004] (February 10, 2004)

Tim O'Reilly says he gets his best ideas by "watching the alpha geeks." In this keynote, Tim and Etech program chair Rael Dornfest introduce you to the thinking and themes behind this year's conference and some of the people and projects they're watching and working with. What these alpha geeks show us are the latest twists and turns of the hacker saga, the innovations that come when people who are comfortable with a particular technology "scratch their own itch."

This was a keynote presentation at the O'Reilly Emerging Technology Conference held in San Diego, California, February 10, 2004.

Recording courtesy of O'Reilly & Associates and IT Conversations. A complete transcript of this and other keynote sessions is available on the IT Conversations web site.
