Subject: The Ethnic Almanac
Years ago I began taking this book out of the library so often that it was put on reserve. I bought a copy and used it in group discussions. I am a geriatric recreation therapist and a Sunday School teacher. I wore that book out. It fell apart and I was lucky enough to find another.
It is packed with fascinating facts about the contributions of the many ethnicities that have created the tapestry of the American culture in language, inventions, superstitions, customs, food, entertainment, medicine, etc. The stories are fascinating.
