Subject: "The Popish Plot"
This version of Oates' notorious work outlines the foundational statements of Oates' fabrication which led to the judicial murder of 15 men, the last being Oliver Plunkett, Archbishop of Armagh. It's one of the better versions available on the Internet. The ***** were awarded for the historical importance of the document which is of critical importance in research on "false accusations'.

Subject: Another Roman Catholic bashing pamphlet
It never ceases to amaze me how these religious loving men of earlier years tend to be so completely vicious and thickheaded in their efforts to bash the Roman Catholic church. In this case, it is the order of the Jesuits who the author says has a diabolical conspiracy of becoming world leaders by becoming confessors to Princes and then disclosing what is heard in confession to their Superior General for the purpose of a secret cabal to use that knowledge to ehance their powers. Then those confession is used to blackmail Princes into doing what the Jesuits want. Besides this the Jesuits endeavor to get wealthy ladies to become nuns so that all their wealth is turned over to the order, and that they go to new countries and bring home wealth to retain for themselves rather than the church. Grudginly it is stated that when the Jesuits started under Father Ignatius, they were a more loving and responsive church to the community who by the time of the pamphlet had become greedy and devilish in designs. They almost make the present pope of the time sound good by his efforts to curtail the Jesuits. The ONLY evidence of any of this balderdash is that two priests wrote books for and again who should be king of scotland.
