The SandKatie Cruel [fsz042] (October 5, 2005)

try new player!embedding and help

When first I came to town
They called me the roving jewel
Now they've changed their tune
They call me Katie Cruel

Through the woods I'll go
Through the bog and mire
Ride on down the road
And to my hearts desire

Oh that I was what I would be
That what I be that I am not
Here am I where I must be
Go where would I cannot

When first I came to town
They brought me bottles plenty
And now they've changed their tune
They bring me the bottles empty

Oh that I was what I would be
That what I be that I am not
Here am I where I must be
Go where would I cannot

Great song, original mix, and it is an unlicensed traditional song, but the singer is Karen Dalton who deserves some recognition for her voice and talent- she got little enough during her lifetime.

Subject: Cruelly amazing

Although I should try to contain my enthusiasm, I cannot refrain from putting down on b&w that this single has been the freshest piece of music I've heard in the last couple of months. Considering that I spend a big amount of time searching and analysing music, this one was the kind of discovery that makes me wanting to keep on searching. I will be visiting free sample zone more often in the future.

Congrats
