Chenard publishes at last his first long play in a long time! You've got here some strange groovy tracks that melt together Fuzzed Out Hardrock, Blues, Funk, Psychedelia, Soul, Folk, Progressive and Heavy Rock. The Pusher was made out of 500 obscure gems from the 60's/70's area.

I've had this for quite awhile, but I gotta say, it still does it for me very very well. The Desk Star melts the beats in such a unique and humoruos way that he keeps me coming back. The cuts are either seamless or jarring. The sources are inventive to speak the least, and their juxtaposition continues to surprise after many listens. The Flying Saucers is a great way to hook a friend. The fucking elephant trumpet in The Bath is the peak of absurdity in such a serious setting. This stuff is great in the background down low, cranked for the jam, painting and driving. Not all of it works all of the time, but the risks Chenard takes make them seem inevitable. Or perhaps, he's making a point that I'm not ready for yet. Most likely, he screwed up an edit. I can identify with that.
