I fucking loved this band. But I'm now 30. didn't get into the dead until 2008? somewhere in there. So your slight complaint of John, never bothered me. If anything I adored how they could bring the heat behind a morning dew (lots of songs for that matter) that jerry and company did back in the day. I saw about 50 shows and have never looked back. If John was too much like jerry for you look back at 2013 gigs. I think the likeness is gone.
Can you imagine starting a dead cover band and then being asked to do this? I doubt it.
Sing and play with Phil and bob there, on top of that the whole dead community listening closely. (which can be picky and cruel)
They are honoring some of the best stuff in the world man. In an inspired, bright, loving way.
long story short if you didn't get to a real dead show. These shows are as good as its fucking gonna get man. God bless that band, and everything they gave us.

Wow
They almost sound like they did back in the early 80's late 70's. John Kadlecik sounds great. They all played and sounded really good.I like to see the Mickey and bill back there, but still good.

Monster set
I mean, for real. The Wheel, Music Never, Stephen, and Terrapin? I don't know how I like this incarnation of the band yet, but if they keep playing sets like this, I might fall out.
