Subject: Best post Jer Jack Straw?? IMO: YES
Subject: Peace and Love and Live Nation
Subject: Great show.
i am truely grateful to have been able to have been there in the places and times that i was during this magical experience. it really was an education to be that close. but i thought that this kind of thing was more about love and acceptance and making real change, and less about how awesome the show was. not that it wasn't, but there was alot going on.
the opening was slow with promised land.
not a bad brown eyed, followed up to more slowness up to a mindblowing estimated prohept and steller liberty/passnger.
the second set is a masterpiece by any standards. esp, with the high energy from scarlet through eyes, a great cumberland, and an amazing cassady into MOTM, with a crazily powerful DDHNM and great fire.
Subject: RATDOG SONGS
Ratdog, covers, or any other songs are great to add to the FURTHUR song book
money for gasoline is a great RATDOG tune and Two Djinn
When to the Furthur NH show
and have checked out all the shows from the tour on archive, but can not decide between this show or the NH show I went to as the show of the tour.
Subject: interesting show.
Mountains of the moon added some much needed weirdness, which has been missing without "Space"...Wish I was there, cause I'm sure this show was much better in person. Only the first listen, though.. Second Set starts out smokin, but doensnt' finish quite as strong..(Miami set the bar so high especially with playing best towards the end..not sure this one reaches those heights.. granted, i'm biased. I was only at miami)...Fabulous Scarlet, Jack Straw. Cassidy was also amazing.. the > Mtns of the moon > Death don't was really cool/interesting, but not incredibly mind blowing. Mountains of the moon is one of my favorites and it's just missing something.. acoustic? vocals? jerry? I love phil singing, but i'm not sure he should be singing MOTM. Death Don't came at a great spot, but JK didn't get really into it until the very ending. He never took a devestating blues solo in it either, like this song craves. Chimenti was tearing it up, though.. And fire.. I like the Scarlet>Fire set idea, but I have a high standard for fire (eyes too) and both versions are very good, but not sonically out of this world. Granted, I was not there to live it in the moment.
Subject: I can't get enough!
Subject: Grate Show
Pretty solid 1st set...really enjoyed the Just a Little Light and Estimated, Bobby seems to hit Estimated everytime/where I seem them play it !!! Nice Passenger closer.
Second Set was off the charts...incredible song selection that is fresh and difft from the norm...Jack Straw coming out of Scarlett is truly a surprise here but damn did they hit that segue out of Scarlet to open the 2nd set. Only real complaint is that Phil should stick to as many Phil songs as possible and limit some of the Jerry songs...MOTM was tough to listen to...God Bless Phil for keeping on keeping on at 70 but I'd rather here John or anybody for that matter on the Jerry ballads. DDHNM was great !!!
Wish I'd been able to hit another...thanks to these tapers for getting these shows up so quick !!!
Subject: solid night three
2nd set was intense- excellent Scarlet-Jack, mellow '73 style Eyes, great women smarter with JC kickin it, good sing-along cumberland OUTSTANDING 2nd set Cassidy (great spot for this tune- it can really grow out) Mts of the Moon never does it for me, but JK singing DDHNM does! Weird segue after that into Fire, but super-hot set a great FOB recording: thanks Zman!

Dittos on the Jack Straw-and the Scarlet too~It certainly felt like I'd been there before:)~ one of the best shows-if not the best I've ever seen. It was soooo much fun!!! and soooo much joy! I felt like I was really at a Dead show with so many happy people all around. It felt like home ~ Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile:)
Subject: excellent!
segueing it with Mtns of the moon was true surprise.
Yes they are on fire, that was every bit as good as any show I ever saw with Capt Trips himself.
Thank you spirit in the sky for grateful dead music.
only thing I can add, is mannnnnnnnn, I wish I could have seen Miami too!!!
Subject: WE LOVE YOU PHIL!
