Subject: Not a great show, but lots of hints of what is possible
But 2nd set, some good moments, but never really came together, the whole show left me feeling kinda 'blah, caught an off night"
BUT it was clear the band had HUGE potential, hence i left partly disappointed, and partly very pleased at what lies ahead ( AND INDEED THEY DELIVERED AT MOHEGAN SUN-AWESOME
Many many hot shows this line up will crank out
And I have seen some scorching hot shows with Lesh and friends
But this is the best lineup since Garcia passed- no question!!
This is what we've been waiting for, kids!!!
PS
I first saw the boys in 1979, and, oh a few times over the years
( LOL- maybe just shy of 100 shows total?) so I have some perspective, on what this music is like at its best ( for me, the period of 79-83 was where I heard most of the best shows over the years, but there were always good nights to be heard, albeit a gradual decline as the years rolled by)
This band may yet earn its name, FURTHER!
LET'S GO!
Subject: great sound
Subject: Good times
I agree on the mix. The omnis add a good bit of fatness.
