This is my first "Stubbe" show (I think). I just wanted to give props to Lenny Stubbe for putting this show up on the LiveArchive for all to enjoy. It sounds fantastic!
Looking forward to many more Stubbies!

I flew all the way from Alaska to see this show live (was headed this way anyway) and must say that this Bertha is absolutely sick. Kadilick's voice is pretty annoying, but to see Phil's huge sinister grin is always well worth the journey. Hope to see Billy K. jam with this group, as the groove would be much different, possibly increasingly awsome. :) It's also great that they're lugging the heavy keyboard equipment around, instead of the cheesy sounding digital gear that is sometimes used these days.

Sounds good for what I've listened to so far. Was going to Shelburne today but town and state screwed us at last minute. Have heard good reviews for the tour but could care less for the sniping on these reviews. Head since '72.

You had to look up an "smart persons" word for confusion i'm not the one who needs a dictionary. You can do what you must to try and insult me, but i have thicker skin then you so it will prolly be a failed effort for you.
Let me try and put it in a nicer way.
I was always anti DSO and in ways still are.
I don't go see furthur to hear JK, i could care less about his efforts. I don't dislike him, he does play with confidence but to me i hear a more of a "rehearsal for a DSO" set, nothing really original.
I'm more happy about phil and bob still being friends.
If they chose to have yoko ono sing every song i'd still go see them. I happen to like the sunday coney island show. I was right infront of the stage but would still not say it was a magical show, it was good and better then the show played here.
{I'd post the 3 pics i have but don't know how}
I'd rather them NOT sounding like the grateful dead, with someone who does NOT try to play jerry's notes from songs he herd jerry play on, and does NOT try in vain to sound like jerry when he sings because i know, as well as any head it can NOT be done. Get it now?
It's my opinion and thats all, i'm not telling you to not go see furthur, nor am i trying to change how you think. By all means, go out on tour this band does not suck.

Subject: same song twice?
Why would they play NFA two times in complete and separate versions? Sure we all love the segues that weave in and out of a song, the sandwiches, the reprise, but this is none of those. They play the same song twice.

You are right I don’t have to like what you say and using those words does show immaturity although when talking to people like you I find it more easy to use words you will understand preventing great consternation on your part also saving you time with a dictionary.
John K. is NOT Jerry nor are any of the musicians who have filled the spot. JK does however bring to the band an understanding of the music that all the others did not resulting in an immense energy and life in the music that has not been seen since Jerry’s death and some will argue before his death.
We should all be grateful we have this opportunity to hear this wonderful music and Wilsondupree keep listening you may eventually get over your personal impediments enabling you to move happily forward into the future.

I second the latter comment. Get over it, they aren't the Grateful Dead, and if you wanna be a foolish heart about everything based on that standard than you don't get the point. It's a gift to see Bobby and Phil playing still (and together at that), which brings a tear to my eye every show they do, because you never know when they could go. Anyhow, excellent recording, the boys contrairy to wilsonduprees stupid comment are firing on all cylinders and much more fluid than any phil & friends, ratdog, or the dead combo I have seen. JK is and was the missing link, i commend his efforts at filling the shoes of a position that is always under immense scrutiny. The winter tour was working out the kinks, this summer will be AMAZING.

I think both the quality of the tape and the show are good. I like comments about both. A great tape of a slow show does not do much for me.
For those that mentioned this HCS was better than late era GD versions check out 4/2/95. Playing is really good on this version and the segue to Stranger is really nice but the vocals on the 4/2/95 version shine.
Looking forward to Red Rocks.

A great sounding show here, but I think we need a reminder to rate the tape's quality, and not the setlist.
Many thanks, Lenny =) See you at moe. tonight.

The setlist for this show is absolutely stunning, amazing that they played Cosmic Charlie, Viola Lee, Born Cross-Eyed and New Potato Caboose in the same night, you'd swear it's a 68-69 show. Sometimes it's hard for me to believe that these AUD's aren't soundboards! Good work. Awesome kick-off to an incredible tour to come.

Thanks for uploading this so quickly, I recognize it takes sacrifice of time and talent. I speak for many who couldn't make it- thank you!
Just finished the first set. Sounds great. They are getting tighter. HCS and Stranger had really great moments. Not a huge fan of Beatles covers, and the Dave Mason's "Feeling Alright" was ok, but that was a pretty solid first set tour opener.
I like where this band is going...and I had no clue this trip would still be going this long. Every show is a gift, good nights and bad. Solid recording, really good job.

Wow, this is even better than following DHL and philzone updates last night! Just started listening, but Sunshine sounds way better than any of the late-era GD versions I've heard. And the second set looks very promising - thanks for getting this up so quickly. Can't wait for tonight - Coney Island, Baby!
