This sounds a lot better then what they gave us last monday. JK must be using his real voice now because he sounds less and less like a fake jerry and more and more like just another guy contributing to some decent music.
It's just too bad they cant sell out a single show.

What a sweet Chicago run - had a blast both nights with great friends & awesome music. I was surprised at such a robust Shakedown, which really helped set the mood for what was to come. Too bad it was so freaking cold & windy out Saturday, but at least it didn't snow! Loved the second set, especially Terrapin. Very moving. I sure wish I could go on tour...

Our section of the Floor (Section 3)did not stop dancing all night. We were literally soaking wet when we left UIC. The heat from dancing and the smoke from....well, you can figure it out, transformed the pavillion into a dank rainforest. The band is playing so well right now it is scary. Highlights are plenty and include a beautiful Terrapin and I Know You Rider.

Second night at the UIC, and had an excellent time. Lot scene was pretty fun, lots of beer and crafts, and deadheads.
I thought the sound was a little quiet at first, but it was fixed quickly. Enjoyed moving through the first set with some rare dead tunes (doing that rag, masons), and enjoyed the passenger
My only problem with this show was that I felt John K was held back in the second set. Terrapin>The Other One made up for it though

What a show!! Absolutely rippin' on nearly every level. From Shakedown St in the lot, the security folks, the building, the sound, and of course THE MUSIC, it felt like old times. Lost myself quite a few times in the 2nd set and loved every second of it.
THANKS BOB. THANKS PHIL. You guys have found some amazing young players to jam with.
THANK YOU FOR A REAL GOOD TIME.

This is not a "like" Grateful Dead group, they really are the Grateful Dead. Only difference is different names. They are having fun and they're rocking some killer jams. Was at both shows and was happy to be treated with 60's loaded songs. Loved the New Speedway on Friday and any show with a 11/TO1 following a Terrapin has to be pretty damn good, right?

That show last night was ripp'n. First set was a bit of a sleeper, but the surprise with Passenger was sweet, what a nice rock-n-roll song. 2nd set sent me overboard. The run from Mountain Song thru Terrapin was awesome and powerful. I'm just amazed with the total sound they make, and the long weaving jams. I want to go every night.

Holy freaking Aoxomoxoa Batman!!! Ummmm, not sure what to say after being there...what a great great show. These are complicated songs. For everyone. Joe and Jeff, Bobby and Phil and certainly for Johnny K......Sunshine and The Other White Jeff add so so much to these tunes as well. Just a tight, well-oiled music-making machine. This is not a set, IMHO, you hear every day. A long-time fan's wetdream performed with precision. Big, big smiles and loose arms from everyone around me (section 103). First time at UIC and I thought the sound was very far above average.
Thank you Phil. Thank you Bobby.
