Notes
Missing first 15 seconds or so of shakedown street(None of the lyrics, just the opening few seconds, got in late, band went on early) Recording sounds really good.
At about the two min mark, I get my mics both aimed the right way and the levels set properly( was trying to get everything up and running as they were walking out) It sounds great from then on. Thanks to John pasternack for the clamp space and helping me get my rig up and running within 2 mins. We were the front stand on the front right side.
Broken up for Cd. Disc one is the 100's, Disc 2 the 200's and disc 3 the 300's

Subject: Furthur thoughts...
A lot of songs Furthur does have sounded 'slow' since the beginning, and some really don't seem to work at that speed, like Saint of Circumstance. But they're definitely capable of playing snappier when they want to, which makes me think that it's being done on purpose, because the powers that be prefer a more deliberate sound these days. After all, some of those early 70s Playing in the Bands were much slower than the current offerings.
And people really need to give JK a break. There's still a lot of "fake Jerry" criticism out there, and it probably doesn't fill him with confidence to read stuff like that. Those are some impossibly large shoes to fill, after all, and I think it's safe to say that for a lot of people, myself included, it wasn't until Furthur that the old spark finally kindled again. And with all due respect to the other members in the band, the missing ingredient was obviously what JK brings to the band. Sure, it's not the same, but it really is close enough to pretend, and I'm really grateful that we get to ride the nostalgia train a while longer.
When it's all over with for good, then we can go back to listening to recordings and arguing about the relative merits of GD eras or post-GD configurations. For now however, there's still some magic happening live, so maybe it's better to put aside expectations and let it roll...

Subject: Great recording, great show
Subject: 4 for...
The 4 stars are for the recording presented here. NOT the actual sound at the show. The sound at the show sucked. This recording sounds WAY better then it did on the floor.
Listening back to sugar mag i stand corrected, it's just as slow here as it was live.
Maybe if bob and phil down a couple of bed bulls before the go on stage the songs wouldn't lag the way they do. I agree with billy K about john K. He lacks inspiration. He can play a good copy of a solo, i give him that, but as soon as he starts to improvise the jams, he falls apart. Watching the band on stage, bob and jeff pretty much carry the weight. But thats just my .02.
I just want to point out that they never finished cryptical, so anthem was not played in full.
I also agree with "eclipse" not working.
Sorry for the confusion.
