Shall we go, you and I while we can...
Set 1
Great intro from somebodies child?
Lovelight- A little bit HIGHER!
"Nice to be back in San Fransisco."
Some crazy noises in my headsets
switching to speakers
Dark Star! Short but sweet
China Cat> The Eleven (pretty psychedelic)
Vintage Anthem of the Sun material follows:
New Potato-(Good organ, even better Garcia)
> Born Cross Eyed
and 15 minutes of Spanish Jam for a set closer!
A pretty rare occurrence to fully jam this out but a theme they would return to over the years almost out of the blue.
Had to get the headphones back on for this.
(5 stars for this jam all by itself.)
It has been awhile since i listened to Anthem of the Sun but this jam while not developed on the album is certainly implied by much of what happens in the complete 'That's it for the Other One' also I would say Weir's cowboy tunes kinda took this space in the evolving Dead repertoire.
So in later years it was not a stretch for the Dead to go DARK STAR> EL PASO > DARK STAR
they had already been there with the Spanish jam.
Every time the Dead do FEEDBACK i expect someone to tell me to turn it down even with these Headphones on. the Feedback melts into the distortion
Set 2
The Second Set intro from the boy is even cooler
"May I present to you the Grateful Dead"
Cryptical>Other1>Cryptical -connects nicely to the 1st set Spanish Jam
The Other One has the original lyrics just before the line about Cowboy Neil.
The passion that Garcia sings,
"You know he had to die!!!,
When they brought it back in 85
it sounded like an old blues tune.
Here it is like audibly listening to a bonfire.
Schoolgirl-13 minutes of trippin' blues.
This is such a sultry song just right for PIG.
Who brings it harmonica and all.
This is a well preserved recording of the band in full psychedelic beauty.

First review
It's hard to believe how hot this show is, and no reviews yet. Amazing quality for 45 years ago ! Early versions of several songs that would go on to become standards for years to come. 85 blistering minutes of joy. I can't give this show anything less than 5.
We need a hammer and nails up here, in addition to the cokes !
