I never thought I would say this...
...but Black Queen is my favorite track from this show. It's a pretty awesome version, I gotta say. And yes, that is Stephen Stills on vox and lead guitar. He really nails it, and the Boys back him up admirably.
The rest of the set is nice to have, for historical purposes, but personally I can do without listening to early versions of some of these songs a second time.
Three stars for the quality of the 1969 soundboard. (If the second set were present, with a Cryptical Suite, this show would probably warrant a higher overall rating.)

Like the add of Stills
Such a distinctive style, blends in very nicely with the band. Nice soundboard as well. I swear, only with the Dead can you read about such shows and then actually listen to them.

Old School
Call me old school, call me Old & In the Way, to my mind the date of this recording alone means it merits five stars.
The end of 1969 - Live/Dead has just been released. Arguably the band's best year, and we are treated to them road testing the material for their ground-breaking Workingman's.
I miss Ron and Jerry so much.
