...cause I'm a stone-jack-baller and my heart is true...
Got a copy of this back in '90 & was in love from the moment I heard it. I have always LOVED the instrument separation & the way both Bob & Jerry sound on this. This particular Easy Wind is one I've always considered to be the "best" I've ever heard --- the intenseness of EVERYONE has been turned up to where it burns my ears & sears the synapses when I hear it. The Frozen Logger gives the recording the intimateness that seemed to get lost after '71. But there's not really one song here that's missing that X-factor the GD were so good at --- CR&S, Truckin', Till/AM/Comes, FOTD, Black Peter, et al.
Another fine example of the GD spinning straw into gold! The 5 stars are rounded up from 4.5 stars.

my 1st Dead show on tape
Remember cassette tapes? Seems so long ago but, that's how we did it! Thanks Jim M. for kicking down the start to my musical journey. Long live El Monte 12/26/70!
