Almost all of the 2nd set is the AUD, but still a good show
@Spoondivy -- the AUD is patched in here for good after Loser, which explains why Bird Song and NFA are missing here and in the complete AUD recording.
This show can't help but be overshadowed by one of the all-time great Dead performances that took place the following night, but it's still worth a listen because it's not only '71 Dead but it's also from the now near-legendary 10-show Yale Bowl to Gaelic Park '71 summer tour. Sound issues aside, it's probably the weakest of the 10 shows, but for a lot of us, this summer tour was peak Dead, and even weak peak Dead is good stuff.

Strange Quandry
How is it possible that both the audience and soundboard copies all have Not Fade and Bird Song missing? Did aliens come down and vamp everybody’s brain and the tape deck to remove these two tunes? Strange indeed.

no interruptions
Isn't it nice to hear Phil's bass notes take us from the drums into The Other One without the interruption of a track change?
Now if only we could take it one step further and make The Other One and Wharf Rat one track. Then this site might provide a listening experience better than my old cassettes and bootleg vinyls.
Anyone agree with me?

Very good
First of all, five stars for excellent playing during one of my very favorite Dead eras.
But you know what is so nice here? Many times The Other One is split up into four separate tracks (Cryptical, Drums, Other One, Cryptical). And the player on this site, not to mention the one in my car, does not provide seamless transitions between tracks.
Now we need to find that Bird Song!

Soundboard recording until Sugar Magnolia. Audience recording from Sugar Magnolia to the end of the show. It's hard going for the audience recorded tracks after hearing the soundboard tracks, but hey it's your choice.
5 Stars for the mix
5 Stars for the recording
5 Stars for the performance
5 Stars for Charlie Miller
"Classic 1971 Sound".
The soundmen dial in the mix during the first two songs, what else is new?
Get it while you can, get it while it's free, get it now or you'll be sorry. For users of Windows XP the Internet Archive recommends RealPlayer for streaming and downloading.
I recommend adding this show to your 1971 GRATEFUL DEAD collection.
I aslo recommend you click on Charlie Miller's name and collect all his GRATEFUL DEAD shows.
The sound of the GRATEFUL DEAD changed after 1971.
Eat, Drink, be Merry, and Listen to the GRATEFUL DEAD.
Thanks for the Love.
