Notes
--Burned direct to CD from Cassette using a ~1989 TC-WE475 Stereo Cassette Deck to a ~2001 Sony CD Burner.
Converted raw wav files to 14Hkbps / 44khz using Roxio import Cd function of Roxio Music Creator suite (2009).
Pitch Corrected by -1% using Adobe Audtion CC 2018.
Tracking, editing and patching using Roxio Sound Editor (2009).
Patched in '04 It Must Have Been the Roses' & a section of '07 King Solomon's Marbles' from the 'Make Believe Ballroom' bootleg LP
and patched in '16 U.S. Blues' & '17 Blues For Allah' from an alternate FM sourced cassette tape.
- this included some crossfading and volume adjustment for the patching and pitch correction as well.
In addition all tracks segues were adjusted to some degree with small crossfades or little edits to make a smooth a transition as possible.
Every .wav file Tagged using Windows 7 'Edit Song Information' function.
This was a total labor of love, because listening to the crackles and fuzz of an FM broadcast brings back beautiful nostalgia. I think there
is an energy that is lost on the official release that is very much alive on this recording - maybe you'll agree - either way the only other
source that circulates is doused in terrible noise reduction and has lost all of it's original glory that this one has, so enjoy what was
there to begin with!

I'm not saying this recording is superior at all but what we have is a monitored two channel stereo feed that went to FM broadcast... for those that don't know ... this was during the "hiatus" of the GD after 1974 , only a small audience of friends and family were INVITED to the show .. no tickets were sold publicly ... this was to showcase the new GD LP "Blues for Allah" which I think is a real masterpiece LP for the GD ... a real departure from the country acid rock to a sophisticated jazzy and freeform space on a studio LP was very daring ... only the "music never stopped" really was single FM ready from the LP ... and maybe a edit of Franklin's tower?
The mix is nice and there is a color that is not on the remaster commercial release ... the performance is top notch and obviously rehearsed... and even Mickey Hart provides real sound effects with "crickets in a box with a microphone" yeah, Pink Floyd didn't even do that on stage and they did ALOT of sound effects ... no tape loops here ! This recording will sound great through my old tube amp and hi fi speakers !!!
