This Terrapin is flawless, my favorite. Like some other here, I heard this in the 80's on tape from the FM broadcast, apparently King Biscuit. Jerry's vocals are emotional and eerie. Yes, good NFA, but don't overlook this Terrapin or the Tennessee Jed, for that matter. Tight, flawless, interesting solos from Jerry.

if you like partial crappy soundboards. Definitely an awesome Not Fade/Black Peter. This reminds me of back-in-the-day, when the tape you had was NEVER the complete show. God, we're spoiled nowadays.

this musical experience from drumz forward has always been a joyous listening pleasure. When I hear 10/6, Tempe, the Peter in the middle of NFA jam has been seared into memory; OH thnk you Lord for the Good Ol' Grateful Dead.......Peace everyone

Had the same tape-listened to it since 1980. My favorite song has to be Looks Like Rain-a few nice licks from Jerry-magic. Hey Donna-great finish-ahhhh "pray the storm to come".

I've listened this on cassette since it was first broadcast on KBFH 30 years ago. So I'm intimately acquainted with the material.
Listening to the full show (also available here), some of the songs on the King Biscuit version are not from 10/6 or vice versa.
Estimated Prophet on the KBFH version is definitely different from the one on the full show version.
This version:
"My time coming, any day, don't worry bout me, no "
The full concert version has:
"My time coming, any OLD day, don't worry bout me, no "
as well as the 1st part of NFA before Black Peter.
The guitar solo after the "My love is bigger than a Cadillac" verse (1:45) is completely different than the one on the full version (5:10)
I think Drums is different as well.
Listen yourself and see.
So my question is, where are the versions from KBFH from?

What?? "What" is that this IS simply THE most absolutely, ridiculously, kick ASS Not Fade Away I have ever heard, especially coming out of the drums; the whole band feels just this side of complete anarchy as they barely try to hold it together. It is totally, completely, ridiculously inSANE!! Why this show hasn't been downloaded 13 zillion times by now is a mystery. Faster than normal? Oh yeah. And then into the most sublimely destitute Black Peter? And then back into that rockin' NFA? What?! And then the Bobby W. banshees at the end into A&A? I used to listen to this tape all the time back in college in the late 70's early 80's. So glad I was able to find this again on archive. Oh heaven bless Jerry and the G. Dead ...

I'm not sure I understand what the argument is about the show's date, but this is an absolutely MURDEROUS NFA, it will KEEEL YOU.
